It just dawned on me that I do not have much information on Visa, you'll have to please forgive me for this over sight.  If you hang around the McNary house very long you'll quickly discover that all the dogs love me and I love each and everyone of them - however Visa and Sonny are truly MY dogs.  Their devotion to me is unsurpassable to the others and I love them dearly.  Visa is what we refer to as "The world's cutest Dog" She has that cute puppy like face and her personality literally cracks me up on a daily basis.  She is by far our most laid back dog.  She can often be found lounging on the softest, warmest, coziest spot in the house.  This spot changes often so she is always on the look out for cozier places!   To give you an idea of how crafty Visa is listen to this story:  Some how a few months ago I hurt my neck and have been suffering from migraines because of it.  When I start to get a migraine I'll snuggle up in bed with my heating pad on "roast" and try to sleep it off.  Once I must have forgotten to turn the pad off and Visa naturally found this spot for her daily nap.  Now Visa has taken to demanding the heating pad.  When I'm out working on the computer she'll want to be with me so she'll go into the room, pick up the heating pad and drag it into the living room and plop it on her dog bed.  Of course it doesn't work with out being plugged in so she'll run to me and literally do tail spins to get my attention to plug it in for her.  My husband came home from work one day and saw Visa snuggled up on her dog bed with my heating pad and said something to the effect of "I can't believe you plugged the heating pad in for the dog."  He sounds tough but don't buy it for one moment.  I can home from a dog trial this past week end and found Visa snuggled up in his Lazy Boy with my heating pad plugged in.  His reasoning "She was just so darn cute I couldn't say No."

Visa has some other strange quirks as well.  Any dog food in the house as far as she is concerned is hers.  Mind you she isn't a big eater - a couple of cups of food a day is all she'll eat but she still wants to make sure everyone knows even if she doesn't want its still her food!  She can be sound asleep on her bed [with the heating pad on] and dart to the dog food container in a flash from one of the other dogs even looking at the container wrong!  It would be very annoying if she wasn't so cute.

Visa is an incredible hunter.  She knows the difference between a rooster and a hen pheasant and will not point a hen.  Its taken some time but I have finally figured out how to read her as it got old walking up and having a hen flush in front of me!  Visa is a big running girl.  You wouldn't believe it by her personality but she is our fastest, biggest running dog.  She also is our best behaved dog.  She can be a 1/4 of a mile away [if allowed] on the ridge of a distant hill top and a quick tweet tweet of the whistle is all that is needed to spin her around.   I was worried I was going to have trouble when at 5 weeks Visa ran off on her own but she has never ran off since.  She is always in tuned with what I am doing.  She naturally honors and naturally retrieves.  She has the softest mouth of any dog I have ever seen.  She will retrieve anything to me and often on our daily runs she will bring me snakes, baby birds, gophers, rock chucks, cranes and God only knows how many horny toads all usually in perfect shape.

Visa

Visa at 12 weeks

Visa with her new bestest friend Kylee.  Kylee came over to visit puppies and snuggled with Visa instead.

Visa is quite the little character.  Do not let the cute little exterior win you over.  She's always full of mischief.  She is a dandy little hunting machine -- she does not like it when she has to stay at home when the others get to go.  Visa has an awesome hunting style.  It's really just a blast to hunt behind her.  She is literally a chukkar hunting machine.  She is a big running girl - able to easily cover 500 yards or more if sent but unlike a typical big runner she hunts totally under control.  I can say without hesitation at 800 yards out I could easily call Visa in even if she was on birds.  Of course she's going to let me know about when she comes in!  I might be a bit biased as she is my baby girl BUT I think Visa is awesome

Visa's pretty good at retrieving bones!  No use wasting your time on the small bones they sell in stores.  Only go for the good stuff!

First you point at the chukkar in the kitchen.  Then you wiggle and woof!  (Human's can't teach you this).  (15 weeks)
