meet the "Awesome" Justine!
Meet Justine! Justine is a littermate to our Visa [and Blu] and a half sister to Rita. I can't tell you how happy I am to have Justine back home with me. Lynn and Charlie Blackbourn who previously owned Justine are retirering and felt Justine would be better off coming back home. Okay by me!
Personality wise Justine is the perfect combination of
Rita and Visa. She isn't as serious as Rita is, but she isn't as
goofy as Visa either. She hunts just awesome. It literally
takes my breath away to see her move in the field. A good friend
of mine, Jim Tuttle described it as "Spiritual" and it really is.
She just glides through the field with such command and presence that
she owns you.
Now Justine was primarily a kennel dog before coming back home. She was house broke, which was nice but she didn't have a lot of manners. It was a bit of a challenge at first letting Justine know that really the counters were not for her to climb on and if it was put on top of the refrigerator than it really wasn't meant for the doggers. It took a while but she has learned, and to be honest with you, she loves living with me and my family. Wyatt can stick cherrios up her nose for all she cares, she loves him to bits and 5 minutes laying on the sofa next to me is far better than what ever I have hidden up on top of fridge!
Karen Niffenegger who I co-owned Justine's father with has taken a liking to Justine and she's going to show Justine at the upcoming Rose City Classic shows and do some field work with her. I believe Justine has what it takes to be a dual champion and Karen and I are going to give her that shot.
Justine has Trevor's beautiful
head, very nice lay back in her shoulders and adequate angulation.
She has a nice top line and Trevor's signature perfect feet! She
has very nice dark eyes and excellent depth of chest. In short,
she's Awesome!
