choosing a to buy a puppy from Awesome Kennel, owned by Patty
McNary, PO Box 124 – Ione, OR 97843. The following are
stipulations that must be agreed upon before we at Awesome
Kennel can transfer our ownership of our puppy to you. We make
these conditions for the following reasons: First and foremost
to protect our puppies/dogs. Second is to preserve the GSP
breed and finally to preserve our breeding program and
reputation as responsible breeders. Let it be known that this
is a binding contract between Patty McNary and you the buyer of
our Awesome Puppy. These conditions are not negotiable and will
be upheld in a court of law if necessary.

Names and
Registration
All puppies
from Awesome Kennel are required to carry our Kennel name
"Awesome" as the first part of their registered name. The puppy
sold is considered show quality and should grow up to be breed
able. It is agreed that this puppy will not be bred until it is
at least two years of age, has had its hips OFA certified Good
or better and its eyes are CERF Clear. It is also agreed the
puppy will not be bred to any dogs that are not at least two
years of age and OFA Good or better and CERF Clear.

Genetic
Defects
Our puppies
are guaranteed to be healthy, sound dogs. They are guaranteed
against the following genetic and health disorders: Canine Hip
Dysplasia, von Willebrand's, and heart aliments. We require that
a licensed veterinarian certify that the health problem is
genetic in origin and reserve the right to have a second opinion
by a veterinarian of our choice. If desired, we will refund
one-half of the purchase price upon proof of spay/neuter of the
defective dog. Or, if necessary, the dog will be replaced with
another one from the next available litter. We will not be
responsible for any veterinarian bills other than a second
opinion [if we desire] or any shipping costs.

Health
Guarantee
We strive to
provide pups that are healthy, free from congenital defects, and
bred to preserve true breed-type, ability, and temperament. We
guarantee our dogs to be in good health at the time of sale.
Your puppy will be up to date on its vaccinations when you pick
up or have it shipped. We require that the dog be checked by a
Veterinarian of purchaser’s choice within 72 hours of picking up
the dog. Buyers may return puppy for a refund if the puppy
becomes ill up to two weeks after pick up. Buyer must take puppy
to a veterinarian and must have adhered to the puppy’s diet.
Young pups should not be taken to dog parks, school yards,
public parks, or places that have been frequented by unhealthy
dogs until they have had adult vaccinations. Should the dog be
returned to us for any veterinarian certified health reason,
(other than digestive upsets due to diet change, accidental
poisoning, or other owner preventable health problems), within
14 days following purchase, the purchaser will then be entitled
to a refund of the original purchase price. We do not guarantee
against fleas or mites once a pup is taken outside our kennel.
If the dog is returned for other than health reasons, refund is
subject to resale of the dog and less the cost of advertising
necessary to resell the dog. If your puppy becomes ill within 7
days from the day you receive it, you must call us immediately.

Puppy
Placement
We strive to
place puppies with owners who desire a superior hunting and/or
field trial dog as well as a family companion. We will not tell
our clients that a puppy is something it is not. We will not
sell a puppy to be given as a surprise. We require an
application prior to purchase and reserve the right to refuse
service to anyone. We won't sell dogs to be kept in a cage until
hunting season. Should circumstances prevent continued
ownership, we will assist any owner of a Awesome GSP®
dog in finding a new loving home if necessary, including placing
information we deem appropriate about the dog on our website. We
are committed to providing continuing support to the owners of
Awesome pups and owners of any other hunting dogs. Contact us if
you need help finding a home for any German Shorthaired
Pointer. Please feel free to call anytime.
If for any
reason what so ever you can not keep your Awesome puppy/dog we
require that the puppy/dog be returned to us. It breaks
my heart to see any German Shorthaired Pointer [or any dog for
that matter] in a humane society or in an unwanted home. These
pups are my family and they are always welcome and wanted back.

As a buyer of
an Awesome bred puppy I agree to the terms listed above. I
agree that if I break these terms I will forfeit my rights as
owner of my Awesome bred puppy/dog and return the puppy/dog to
Patty McNary/Awesome Kennel. I will accept any legal fees and
medical responsibilities for this puppy/dog until it is returned
to Patty McNary/Awesome Kennel.
