Kodi goes Winner's Dog - Best of Winners

McKenzie Cascade Dog Fanciers

September 9, 2005

Awesome Time in Reno!

Intl Ch. Awesome's Lil Whiskey Girl JH earned two additional legs to finish her Junior Hunt Title with an over all score of 9 for all 5 legs she earned.  Her last test was solid 9's and 8's and she was handled by a friend who she just met.  She is truly an awesome little girl!

Laning's Awesome Sherwood "Woody" earned three legs towards his Junior Hunt Title.  Woody was 6 months and 4 days Saturday.  Just barely old enough to compete but impressed judges from both the GSP Club of Reno and the Northern Nevada Brittany Club.  Woody started his first test out with scores of 6's & 7's.  He gained experience while getting much bolder hunting skills.  His next tests improved to be 7's & 8's while his 3rd and 4th tests were inter mixed with scores of 8's & 9's.  I was very proud of my little boy! [err....Laning's little boy! ]

Rita [Awesome in Margaritaville] earned 3 legs as well towards her Junior Hunt Title.  Rita impressed the judges with what I've admired about her from the get go....her incredible handling skills.  She hunts 100% for me and is completely in tuned with what needs to be done to get the bird in the bag.  She earned over all scores [in 4 tests] of 9 on hunting ability, bird finding ability [and this is with one zero score for going birdless], pointing and training.  I was very proud of my "Riter Skitter" [as I affectionately call her].
